On Sunday April 17th after weeks of training and anticipation, team ‘Run for Joy’, comprised of 7 ANZ staff and Liz Stearne (BBEF Leadership Team) joined 30,000 other participants in the `Royal Children’s Hospital Good Friday Appeal – Run For The Kids.

In addition to running for the appeal, team ‘Run for Joy’ were also running for another important cause – Mary Joy’s (one of BBEF’s students) college education.

The team undertook the challenge proudly wearing specially designed BBEF & ANZ ‘Run for Joy’ t-shirts. Three members completed the 5.2km short course while five completed the gruelling 13.4km long course over the Bolte Bridge. Everyone put in an amazing effort with Dan Hornery from ANZ coming 2nd place overall for the long course!

The team’s stellar efforts raised $1300 towards Mary Joy’s college fund. BBEF extend a huge thank-you to all involved and to all those who donated. Special thanks is also extended to ANZ who matched dollar for dollar what was raised. Congratulations, your hard work and dedication is supporting a wonderful cause and is thoroughly appreciated.
